School of Design

This role focuses on design research to establish, facilitate and sustain undergraduate and postgraduate design research programmes in Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Digital Media Design. This will be done in collaboration of academics whose expertise can contribute towards the goal of creating a multi-disciplinary design research nexus in Victoria University. The nexus will link with research partners in New Zealand, and internationally in Europe, Asia and USA.

The role includes the teaching of design research methodologies, encouraging interdisciplinary research and collaboration between the design disciplines. New research programmes at under/post graduate levels will be established. The role will contribute to training of researchers, input to relevant policy, and identification of funding.
